Stroke Rehabilitation and Recovery 28/02/2014

This conference is aimed at Medical, Nursing and Allied Health Professionals and students who have an interest in stroke rehabilitation and recovery. Stroke survivors and their carers are also welcome to attend. The conference topics have been specifically chosen to provide an update on best practice in several aspects of stroke rehabilitation. All speakers have been invited on the basis of their recognised expertise in their respective areas.

This is the inaugural educational conference of St. Finbarr’s Hospital Stroke Rehabilitation Unit, which opened in February 2012 through reconfiguration of existing rehabilitation services for older people. The aim of the stroke Rehabilitation Unit is to provide a dedicated rehabilitation service for stroke survivors from the acute hospitals in Cork city. The unit is staffed by specialist inter-disciplinary health professionals to enable those affected by stroke to reach their maximum ability. Topic's that will be addressed at this conference will include
